Top German Catholic Church official offers resignation over 'catastrophe of sexual abuse
The head of the Catholic Church in Germany has written to Pope Francis to offer his resignation over what he described as his shared "responsibility for the catastrophe of sexual abuse" by church officials, a letter published Friday reveals.
